Erin Pisko is VP, Intellectual Property at Alberta Innovates, where she is leading the stand-up of Alberta’s IP Office. A registered patent agent in both Canada and the United States, she has worked IP from nearly every angle: at major Canadian law firms, as an in-house IP strategist inside small Canadian startups and a large multinational, and as a Vice President at Innovation Asset Collective.
She is building the IP Office around a straightforward premise: intellectual property created here —especially where public money helped create it — should be recognized, protected, and retained in ways that build lasting value for the province.
Erin holds a BEng. in civil engineering and an MSc. in environmental engineering
