John Lewis

Dr. John Lewis is a Professor and the Bird Dogs Chair in Translational Oncology, funded by the Alberta Cancer Foundation, at the University of Alberta. His research interests include nanotechnology and imaging in oncology, infectious diseases, and age-related diseases.
As an active entrepreneur, Dr. Lewis has founded several biotechnology companies, including Edmonton-based Nanostics and Entos Pharmaceuticals. Nanostics develops and commercializes non-invasive diagnostic tests. Its lead test, ClarityDX Prostate, identifies men at higher risk of aggressive prostate cancer. Entos develops genetic medicines using the Fusogenix drug delivery system. Its lead programs address rare diseases including Lipodystrophy, Stargardt Disease and Muscular Dystrophy.
